Payment methods
Cards, PayPal, email-forwarded wallets, custom methods, balance, and crypto status.
Open Payments → Payment methods. The page shows Active and Inactive methods, lets you turn methods on or off, reorder them, and Preview as a buyer by country, total, and currency.
Cards and Stripe
Stripe-backed card methods support card checkout modes shown in the provider form: inline, embedded, or redirect when the configured provider supports them. Provider calls happen outside database transactions; webhooks and retrieval evidence decide payment state.
PayPal
PayPal methods are configured from the same payment method form. Buyer eligibility is checked against the cart, store mode, country, and currency.
Email-forwarded wallets
Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal Friends and Family, and Skrill-style methods rely on forwarded receipt emails or manual pasted evidence. Configure them in Payment methods and review incoming evidence under Payment emails. Unmatched or ambiguous credits stay visible for review.
Custom methods
Custom/manual methods show buyer instructions and require merchant confirmation or a supported evidence path. They are useful for local rails or offline transfers.
Store balance
Customer balance can pay eligible orders when the buyer has credit. Balance changes are ledger-backed; the checkout refetches the server quote before using it.
Crypto
Add a crypto method under Payment methods, then set its payout address with a two-factor code. Each invoice gets its own deposit address. Partial payments can be topped up at that address. Once paid, the coins and any overpayment are forwarded to your wallet.
With grouped crypto enabled in checkout settings, buyers choose a coin and then its network. USDT is available on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon and Solana. Only configured, eligible methods can be selected. TRX and TRC-20 are not available yet.
Expired invoices. Seen or underpaid payments get two hours after the invoice deadline before stock is released. Expiry does not refund a partial payment. The original coin amount remains payable, and old deposit addresses continue to be checked. A full payment after expiry or cancellation is credited and forwarded to your wallet, with an invoice event and notification asking you to fulfil manually or refund the buyer. Delivery does not restart automatically. Checks slow to every six hours after seven days.
Refund addresses. Buyers can enter an address on the invoice page before a refund is needed. They confirm its network and verify their email with a code. A saved address takes priority over the payment sender. The address cannot change after a refund is signed. Cancellation returns a partial deposit, and an explicit merchant refund request returns held coins, minus fees; an expired invoice alone does not trigger a refund. Once funds have been forwarded, refund from your own wallet.
Network fees. Confirmed EVM fees are recorded even when a transaction fails or has to be rebuilt. A retry does not charge the same transaction twice. Failed attempts are a merchant expense; successful refund fees are deducted from the refund. Polygon gas is recorded in POL without an estimated fiat charge.
Short Wise transfers and split payments
Several short Wise transfers with the same matched invoice reference accumulate toward the invoice. Once same-currency receipts cover it, the invoice is paid. Each transfer retains its evidence, and repeated notifications do not add it again. Transfers in another currency require review.
When buyers combine store credit with an external method, the provider receives only the remainder. Refunds return each part to its original source. Pending or uncertain provider outcomes keep the credit reserved until resolved or expired.
